Getting Involved

The Guild depends on creative volunteers like you to keep making great theatre!

Whether as a board member, crew member, performer, box office attendant or bartender, the Guild wants to put your passion to good use!

Whether you're an experienced performer or just getting started, come play with us at the Guild!

Public auditions for onstage roles are held before each production. We advertise auditions here on our website, as well as through our Facebook page, the artsnet mailing list, and local papers.

Other volunteer opportunities

We are always looking for folks who are interested in:

  • box office support,
  • stage management and assistant stage management,
  • set design,
  • costume design,
  • prop design,
  • lighting design,
  • sound design, and
  • stage carpentry.

With some advance notice of your interest, we can also look into setting up shadowing and mentoring opportunities with other key players in the Guild community.

There are countless opportunities:

Do you have a fondness for sticky tabs, precise note-taking and having your pencils stolen repeatedly? Stage management could be for you!

Like building everyday objects designed to be smashed 15 times in a row? How about setting pillows on fire? You could be our next master prop builder!

How about purposefully dragging a crisp, clean suit through the mud? Watch out, we got a costume designer over here!

Know how to get that hardwood-floor look with only 3 colours of acrylic paint? Fiddle dee-dee, it's our next scenic painter!

The production management team wants to know who you are and how you are interested in being involved in the future!
