My name is Javier Vilalta and I'm incredibly excited to direct Animals Out of Paper by Rajiv Joseph at the Guild Hall this fall!
I am a Mexican-Canadian director with an interdisciplinary approach to theatre, which I have been practicing professionally for many years, across Canada and eight other countries around the world.
In Rajiv Joseph's funny and touching text, the playwright uses origami as a metaphor of how we can reshape our lives through the power of human connections. I look forward to staging a humorous and profoundly symbolic interpretation of this text with the talented artists of Whitehorse.
