Located on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta'an Kwächän Council the Guild Society has been producing top-notch community theatre in Whitehorse, Yukon for 45 years! Our programming highlights local creations on our 'Round Back stage, cutting edge Canadian theatre, modern classics and joyful musical theatre productions.
We are committed to promoting the Arts in the Territory by sharing our facility and resources. We support the work of our colleagues at Nakai Theatre, Velvet Antler Productions, Open Pit Theatre, Thumbs Up Good Work Theatre, Sigil Theatre, Larrikin Productions, Gwaandak Theatre and individual artists and non-profit organizations who need space to rehearse a show, create something new or host an event.
The Guild is a family and for generations we have welcomed newcomers, theatre lovers and salty veterans to join a production either on the stage or behind the scenes. Our 2025/26 season kicked off with Gwaandak Theatre's Indigenous Summer Play Readings at our Round Back stage, and we are following up with two Mainstage productions and a spring musical in our charming black box theatre.
At the Guild, audiences can catch great shows, support local theatre, and see our community members designing, creating and shining onstage in our fabulous productions.
Our facility features:
- Mainstage productions in our black box theatre,
- a multi-purpose performance/rehearsal space with a bar and small stage
- an outdoor performance space
